Meet Rebecca Victor, Lp, NCPsyA, mba

Therapy can effectively alleviate your depression and anxiety.

Are you ready to change your perspective and get unstuck?

You’re in the right place.

Therapy offers you the tools you need to be the best version of yourself.

I’m Rebecca, and I help adults and teens, like you, who have it within themselves to thrive, but just need some direction to get there.

I help my clients gain insight into their internal world, as well as how they relate to others in the external world. Through therapy, they acquire the tools they need to successfully navigate life’s challenges, including life transitions and relationship issues, with more confidence and ease.

Many therapeutic solutions for relationship issues and life transitions fail to consider the way our past connects us to our present and our future. This lack of understanding causes anxiety, depression and frustration, because, much of the time, our reactions are based on past experience, not on our current situation. Making changes in our lives is almost impossible without understanding how we came to be who we are today. Moving forward with conscious awareness is the key to making positive choices in our lives. I know you are unique, as are the circumstances and experiences that led you here. I work closely with you to set and achieve your goals, so that you can create the life you desire.

My style

Psychodynamic therapy is an opportunity to better understand yourself and improve your life.

My training in psychoanalysis and psychodynamic psychotherapy gives me extensive experience in understanding the dynamics of people’s interactions with one another, as well as how these interactions are interpreted and internalized. I am trained to listen to what is said, as well as what is not said, and to reflect these things back to you, in a way that both supports you and allows you to reconsider your perspective. This is crucial to understanding difficulties in relationships, as well as why you might be finding a new situation to be particularly challenging. My training in Brainspotting offers another tool to access inner resources and heal painful memories.

You are the expert when it comes to your experiences. It is my role to help you make sense of them in a way that leaves you feeling lighter, less reactive, and more confident in your own skin.

My guiding principles

Growth

The therapeutic process is expansive and growth oriented, helping you live to your fullest potential.

Trust

This is a collaborative process, where you are the expert on your own experience.

Transparency

I am here to support you and cheer you on, but also to challenge you, when it’s appropriate.

Safety

I hold a space, free from judgement and social stigma, where you can express whatever is on your mind.
